The Diced Apple was founded in the summer of 2023 by Michelle the Sorcerous when she stumbled on a problem: she couldn’t find TTRPG accessories in her aesthetic! When creating her very own bard to play in an upcoming campaign, she created a custom character journal. This journal got a little out of hand and became a passion project. The journal was created in an Art Deco style to match her rolling 20’s bard. She even made some posters for this guy! That got her thinking: would others like character journals like this too?

Michelle was also running a home campaign with a load of high schoolers who were brand new to TTRPGs. The reference guides she found online where overwhelming, wordy, or down right ugly. So she made her own. She also made spell cards, item cards, handouts, DM reference pages, player tokens, and her own initiative tracker. Yes, she can find all these things on the magical internet, but she was either not in the mood to spend oodles of dollars, or to have her whole whimsical flair be dampened by grungy, wordy doodads.

Thus, The Diced Apple was founded! This little business run in southern California by a tiny team (Michelle, her little sibling, her mom, and two cats). A small business with big dreams and a hope to brighten someone’s home gaming experience.

In no way is Michelle’s vision perfect and she is fully aware her style is not for everyone. However, here it is in all it’s bright, messy, silly, and misspelt glory.
